Our Story
In advancing Australia into this competitive new space era, protecting national security and manufacturing high quality advanced composites material existed a huge chasm. A belief that ‘Australian manufacturing didn’t cut it’ or the ‘cost would be exorbitant,’ drove clients to look internationally for their advanced composite materials. Aeromech was born to disrupt this presumption and propel Australia into the upper echelons of advanced composites manufacturing. Our founder, Joe’s passion for space exploration, engineering and expertise in advanced composites manufacturing. Not to mention, his belief in making possible what everyone else thought was impossible. This combination of necessity, passion and belief has turned Aeromech into one of the top advanced composites manufacturers in Australia. We don’t just manufacture; we consult with businesses who want to improve their capabilities, and have partnered with eminent educational establishments to train experts in the industry. Our mission is to reach the pinnacle of aerospace industry training, manufacturing, and consulting. To lead Australia to the forefront of advanced composites manufacturing. But that’s not all talk. We walk the walk. We have worked with some of the biggest names in this industry. We have trained the brightest minds in this industry; and to inspire young Australians to join this audacious adventure, we educate and train our young graduates to be ready to dive into the industry.

Our Team
Joe Bryant is an accomplished aerospace engineer and business leader with over 18 years’ experience working in the Defence and Government sectors on complex platforms and public spaces. Starting his career with Airbus working within the CASG environment on Airbus’ first composite helicopter, the ARH Tiger. Joe has since developed and refined his composites skillsets on the most advanced helicopter platforms in the world and lead Airbus’ NH90 final assembly line and flight line, and Airbus Australia’s only composites manufacturing plant. Joe has an extensive background establishing, managing and leading ISO9001 and AS9100 certified production and manufacturing lines.
Deanna has over 20 years experience working in mining, utilities and Defence with a focus on business strategy, project management and lean manufacturing. Deanne has a chemical engineering degree from University of QLD and is completing her MBA. Deanna is passionate about finding solutions and delivering results.
Adrian is an experienced finance professional with over 10 years experience in Management and Financial Accounting for Aerospace organisations like Airbus and Northrup Grumman. His talents include cost management and control, setting up and running business strategies, operating and financial reporting. In his minimal spare time he’s completing his MBA.
Ryan’s ability to understand, managing and lead complex problems and situations is nothing short of impressive. With over 26 years’ experience working on complex military platforms, both as a serving member of the Australian Airforce and from within industry. He has extensive experience working in remote environments, leading and managing operational teams to support both highly technical fixed and rotary wing platforms, including Lockheed’s Black Hawk and Airbus’ ARH Tiger, MRH 90 helicopters.
Melissa has a strong understanding of the end-to-end nature of supply chain and how to achieve operational excellence, particularly in environments sustaining Defence. Melissa is highly motivated and driven to make a difference. She previously served in the Defence force and has over 22years Supply Chain and Quality experience across Defence and Aviation, including industry names like Airbus, ARH Tiger and MRH 90 helicopters.
Mark is a specialist in Advanced Composites Repair and Assembly with both design and manufacturing experience and expertise. He’s spent over 11years working on Complex Defence platforms and always keeps a cool head under pressure.
Troy is our dependable and solid lead designer. He walks the walk as a qualified Fitter & Turner with over 20 years’ experience in designing heavy engineering products for Locomotive and Aerospace companies across the globe, including; Airbus’ ARH Tiger, MRH90 and Super Puma Helicopters. With extensive experience across a range of CAD packages, CNC machining and laser scanners, Troy’s can-do attitude enables our clients to achieve the impossible.
