A world first Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) designed to be airdropped by Marine Search and Rescue (SAR) and Coast Guard aircraft and land on the ocean’s surface using a parachute.
SARGOTM is a lightweight composite structure that has been designed to be airdropped by Marine Search and Rescue (SAR) or Coast Guard aircraft and land safely on the ocean’s surface using a parachute.
- Can be controlled remotely from a circling aircraft and directed to a vessel or persons in distress.
- Designed to carry lifesaving payload items such as a two-person life raft, radio, water and other supplies.

The Aeromech provided Advanced Composite Repair and Manufacturing expertise to both Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) and the Queensland State Government to support the development and delivery of a business case to establish an Advanced Fibre Composite Maintenance and Repair Facility in Far North Queensland.
